She is a Young Cow Moose....Was very interested in getting to the fresh grass with the morning dew on it......so determined that she showed no fear of me.....

Okay, I'm envious of all these moose spottings! We've just returned from a week in the wilds of Ontario - on a lake with lots of "moosey" places -- even spotted plenty of moose scat -- and saw NOT A SINGLE moose. None. Your photos are wonderful!

Hi Linda.....Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed the Pic's....You have to adjust your schedule to that of the Moose...Pre-Dawn....and Dusk. You have to go where there food source is and when they feed...Mineral deposits/salt...what I like to call Muck-Yucks...LOL in Spring and in the Heat of Summer they seem to prefer aquatic vegetation...Pond/Lake/Bog side...They are an amazing creature and a blast to study and watch....If the scat is there...so is the Moose...:)

Well, we found plenty of scat. We were, however, forced by terrain to travel by boat, so we probably scared them into the trees as we approached. Still -- one of these days I'm going to figure out how to sneak up on one -- from a distance, that is! :-)
