Bill -- these are one of my favorite flowers! Surely they're not blooming up there this time of year, though? Now -- off to let Chuck know I've got a hi-resolution pic if he still wants it!
Love your photography!

No Linda, they bloom in the Spring and early Summer. These pictured are common Dicentra spectabilis. I do have Dicentra Exima and Dicentra formosa which bloom later in late Spring and through Summer. These are both much smaller plants and smaller blooms. I posted these pic's becasue I thought Bill might enjoy seeing them, did not mean to mislead anyone as to bloom time being now...sorry

I knew that these particular bleeding hearts only bloom in the spring here. My "wild" bleeding hearts bloom until the very heat of summer, and some even squeak out a late bloom or two when the weather gets cool. But we're in the deep-ish south, and folks up north get a longer and much different blooming season than we do down here, so I had to ask!
And so sorry that I mistakenly called you "Bill" on my earlier comment -- I know better than that! :-)
